Customer portal
Customers join by invitation from your business.
You send a customer a code or a link from the business they deal with. They install the portal, accept the invitation, and can message that business straight away. Nobody can search for you or your staff, so only customers you've invited can reach you.
If a customer buys from two of your businesses, they see two separate businesses in their portal. Nothing links them unless you choose to show it.

Privacy and the law
Built for Australian business law.
Each business you run may carry different obligations. Omega Ventures is built to support the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply, the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, the Spam Act 2003 for promotional messages, and the Australian Consumer Law.
Promotional messages go only to customers who have said yes to them, every one carries an unsubscribe switch, and each business's customer list stays with that business.

Questions
What business owners ask us.
Do I need a separate account for each business?
No. You hold one owner account and add each business to it. Each business gets its own name, team and customers.
Does it replace my point-of-sale or accounting software?
No. Your sales, stock and accounts stay where they are. Omega Ventures handles conversations with customers, staff and suppliers.
What does it cost my customers?
Nothing. The customer portal is free. A customer who wants the full Omega messenger for their own use can upgrade inside the portal for a personal subscription.
Can I message all my customers at once?
You can send updates to the customers of one business who have agreed to receive them. Every message carries an unsubscribe switch, in line with the Spam Act 2003.
What happens if I sell one of my businesses?
You can move that business, its team and its customer conversations to the new owner. Customers are told who now runs the business, and your other businesses are untouched.
Where is our data kept?
Messages and files are encrypted on the phone that sends them and our servers can't open them. Account details for Australian businesses are held in Australia.
